Why Exfoliate?

The term “exfoliation” has been thrown around quite a bit in the beauty & skincare industries. It is a simple enough term to understand. You basically use a product to scrub the dead cells off your skin. Now, our regular self care regimen like bathing usually takes care of most dead cells on the skin. In fact, we shed dead skin cells all the time! But there are some areas of the body, where these skin cells don’t leave us as well as on other parts of the body. A classic example of this is the skin on our lips. So, it’s a great idea to add lip exfoliation to your skincare regimen.

Our lips not only look delicate, the skin covering our lips IS delicate. Exfoliating lips using the same products we would use on other parts of the body invariably results in sore, chapped and dehydrated lips. Lip scrubs are specifically made to be gentle on your skin, as well as nourishing. This ensures that your lips do not get dry or sore after scrubbing. Adding this step to your regimen twice a week will show you wonderfully quick results.

There aren’t many commercially available lip scrubs that I was able to find in India. At least, that was my experience. The ones that I did manage to find did not meet my expectations. They were commercially made and hence lacked the nourishment that I was looking for. So, I made my own!

Saagini’s Get Scrubbing lip scrubs are a 100% natural, with the nourishing goodness of coconut oil, jojoba, cinnamon, vitamin E, and the plumping goodness of strawberry. Sounds yummy, doesn’t it? Tastes yummy too! I am guilty of licking off a bit every time I scrub my lips. Go ahead. Get Scrubbing!
